Washington Sportsmen’s Show is Washington’s biggest and brawniest sportsmen’s show and opens January 23 with a packed line-up of family-friendly attractions, new expert speakers and past crowd-pleasers at the Puyallup Fair and Events Center. Western Washington’s only sportsmen’s show runs January 23 – 27 and spotlights the one-of-a-kind indoor “Steelhead River,” over 150 hours of free “how to” seminars, camp cooking demonstrations, the Kid’s Free Trout Pond, the “Head & Horns” competition and much more. The Pacific Northwest Sportsmen’s Show is the largest sportsmen’s show west of the Mississippi. It features many displays and showcases sure to please the entire family. Kids’ Trout Pond & Activities: A 30-year favorite at the Show, the free Kids’ Trout Pond gives aspiring anglers and first-time fishermen the chance to catch and keep (or release) a live trout. Head & Horns Competition/Mule Deer Legends of the Pacific Northwest: Do you have a trophy in hiding? Bring head and horns to the Show and enter in the highly anticipated Head & Horns competition for a chance to win prizes and bragging rights! Bring your trophy, past or present, for free official measurement. Horns must be attached to skull. Free Seminars and Theaters: Dozens of experts will be onsite offering hundreds of hours of tips and advice on topics such as archery, elk bugling, fly fishing and double-handed spey casting, the latest in HD sonar, boating and navigation technology and more. Sport Fishing Boat Show: The 2012 Pacific Northwest Sportsmen’s Show is also the Northwest’s premier Sport Fishing Boat Show featuring the best selection and prices on marine accessories, tackle, marine electronics, down riggers, anchor systems and offshore, river, lake and drift boats.
