Spring Fly Fishing

Take a quick boat ride from Chinook Shores Lodge and enjoy a day fly fishing at Naha Bay.

For many reasons, May is the favorite time of year in Ketchikan and one of the reasons for this is the steelhead fishing. After a long winter the land and sea come alive, bursting with activity and one of the best ways to enjoy it is taking a little boat ride to a remote, pristine river near our lodge. Since the Naha River Recreation Area is a protected system, we are not allowed to guide on this river or lake. However, we allow our experienced self-guided anglers who return to Chinook Shores Lodge each year to take our self-guided boats to this location. Contact us to learn more about Spring Fly Fishing packages Chinook Shores Lodge. We are now booking May-June 2014.

Kayak Fishing

Chinook Shores Lodge purchased two Hobie Mirage Outback Kayaks. Stand-out features include a nearly indestructible rotomolded polyethylene hull, a MirageDrive for paddle-free touring, ample above- and below-deck stowage, a Twist and Stow rudder for finger-tip steerage, and multiple molded-in rod holders. These kayaks are designed to fish and allow you to cast-or land the big one-without rocking the boat.  Kayaks rent for $100 per day. Use the booking calendar on our website to make a reservation request and we will contact you to confirm.
