The two newest Silver Streaks arrived in Ketchikan aboard the Alaska Marine Highway System ferry, and the delivery didn’t wait for daylight. Lodge owners Jeff and Nadra Wedekind were at the ferry terminal at midnight to receive the boats, driving them off the ferry on their trailers and hauling them 15 miles up the road to the lodge’s private dock at Knudson Cove.

“We weren’t going to let two brand new Silver Streaks sit at the ferry terminal overnight,” laughed Jeff Wedekind, co-owner of Chinook Shores Lodge. “Nadra and I made the midnight run together — it’s that kind of dedication to our fleet and our guests that drives everything we do here.”

“It was quite an adventure,” added Nadra Wedekind, co-owner of Chinook Shores Lodge. “But pulling up to the dock at midnight with two beautiful new boats made every bit of it worth it. We couldn’t wait to get Goldie Lox and Captain America in the water for our guests.”

Goldie Lox and Captain America bring a notable upgrade to the Chinook Shores fleet — both boats feature an additional rear steering helm, giving self-guided anglers the flexibility to operate the boat from the stern while fishing. This addition makes bareboat charter fishing even more convenient for groups and families who want maximum control on the water.
