Getting Here

Getting to Ketchikan is simpler than most Alaska destinations. As a road-accessible lodge, we offer a level of convenience and travel flexibility that fly-in camps can’t match. Flying from Seattle to Ketchikan Most guests enjoy a quick and scenic flight from Seattle on Alaska Airlines. We recommend booking your flights well in advance to secure the best fares. Airport Transfers & Transportation

• Complimentary Shuttle: We provide airport pickups and drop-offs for most mid-day flights. Your arrival shuttle includes a stop at Safeway so you can stock up on food and drinks for your stay, and other optional stops at your request. 
• Rental Cars: If you prefer the freedom to explore Ketchikan, or go out to eat for dinner, we recommend booking a rental car at the airport in advance.
• Airport Ferry: The Ketchikan International Airport is located on Gravina Island. A 5-minute ferry ride across the Tongass Narrows brings you directly to the Ketchikan road system. The ferry takes foot passengers as well as vehicles, and departs every half hour. 

Check-In & Check-Out

• Check-In: 2:00 PM (Staff will meet you to help settle you into your waterfront cabin).
• Check-Out: 11:00 AM (To ensure boats and cabins are pristine for arriving guests).
• Please Note: We are unable to offer early check-in or extended check-out times.

Driving Directions to Knudson Cove If you are driving or renting a car, follow the Tongass Highway North for approximately 12 miles. Turn left on N. Point Higgins Road, take an immediate right on Knudson Cove Road, and follow Potter Road to the Chinook Shores Lodge sign.
