Chinook Shores Lodge Employee Selected to Attend 2024 Marine Resource Education Program

KETCHIKAN, ALASKA / February 26, 2024 – Chinook Shores Lodge, a premier Southeast Alaska fishing lodge specializing in guided charters, self-guided fishing and wildlife viewing, today announced that McKinley Kellogg, a dedicated member of our team, has been selected to attend the 2024 Marine Resource Education Program (MREP) Workshop for the North Pacific Fishery Management Council region.

The MREP is a neutral platform outside the regulatory process and offers regional workshops for fishermen to learn about marine fisheries science and management, define popular acronyms and vocabulary, gain tools and insights into effective engagement at the North Pacific Fishery Management Council and connect with key regional fishery science and management experts.

McKinley Kellogg’s selection for this workshop is a testament to her commitment to sustainable fishing practices, marine resource management and her dedication to furthering her understanding of the dynamic and vital Alaska fishery. Her participation underlines Chinook

McKinley is a member of the Western Washington University alumni and holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental science. She is a member of the American Fisheries Society (AFS) and previously The International Ecotourism Society (TIES).
