The Halibut fishing around Ketchikan in Southeast Alaska is phenomenal. Large tides, mass bait fish and huge schools of migrating salmon and cod provide an abundance of food for halibut to feed on.

PERFECT 10! My wife and I stayed 8 nights in the couples apartment. It is well furnished, stocked with all the things you'll need to cook with. Have to comment on the shower what fun! Jeff and staff are A-1 when it comes to taking care of you and equipment which I must say is like everything else, top notch. You have your own privacy but, close to what's going on. Fishing was great even though this was our first time here do kind of a learning experience. We took home 83 pounds of salmon.

Once in a Lifetime Experience...Just wanted to thank you all for a great first-time ocean fishing experience for myself, my two sons and step-son. The fishing was phenomenal. The modern facilities were amazing. We all only traveled there with one carry on. That is all we needed...The new boats are furnished with all the tackle you should need...We each flew home with 100 lbs of mostly salmon, some halibut and rock fish that were cleaned, frozen in 50 lb boxes.

We had a great time self-guided fishing! Just a wee note to thank you and your family and staff for the really great time we had when we were over there. Paul and I are discussing coming again next year but we are not sure if we will be able to both get over at the same time, if not we can probably organize two separate holidays. I have fished all over Alaska and have fished at Chinook Shores many times...Chinook Shores is the best Alaska fishing area I've ever been to...Jeff takes pride in having his rods, reels, line, nets, boats/motors all in great shape...BTW, I am not an employee or family member of Chinook Shores. Just an avid fisherman who has fished all over Alaska and have never been treated better by a lodge owner, caught more fish, and had the ease of travel like I have had with Chinook Shores.

Very nice place to get away if you love to fish! Nadra and Jeff have a great place to come relax and catch salmon and halibut. The self guided fishing lets us do what we want when we want. The living quarters are very nice, modern and clean. The facilities, boats and fishing equipment are all top notch and everything you will need to have a great time.
