Fishing:

If you’re a cruise ship passenger and do not have time to book a guided fishing Charter, Ketchikan Creek is a local attraction which usually opens to  sport fishing for all species, including hatchery king salmon around June 1st each year. Check with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game before throwing your line in the water.  The bag and possession limit for king salmon in Ketchikan Creek is usually two king salmon of any size and do not count towards the nonresident annual limit. but this can change from year to year.
