Annabelle’s has changed seating (leaving every other table empty) to maintain the recommended 6′ safe zone between patrons. For people who prefer to stay home, Annabelle’s has also developed a Home Family Dinners menu. Dinners feed 4-6 people and can be picked up at their curbside. Annabelle’s is located at 326 Front Street. Cape Fox Lodge offers curbside pickup. Choose from four different entrees: Beef Tips w/ mashed potatoes, Chicken Fettuccine, Reindeer Mac & Cheese or their House Pot Roast. All entrees include salad and cost $50. Cape Fox drivers will deliver to locations as far north as Walmart and as far south as the USCG base.

Jeremiah’s at The Landing Hotel has a special takeout menu and offers takeout/pickup service from 8am to 8pm. Curbside service is available when you call to place an order (with credit card) and then call once again for pickup once you are outside.  Look for the takeout menu posted on their Facebook Page.

A&P has grown their costco department, established beautiful store displays and increase floor space for popular grocery, deli and produce items. While the yogurt and salad bar sections are closed, the company has been taking extra measures to sanitize carts and counters for their shoppers. Get Hooked on Cooking at Home

Over the years local fisherwoman and cookbook author, Ladonna Rose Gunderson, has developed a “boat load” of quick-to-fix recipes using easy-to-find ingredients. Now is the perfect time to hone your culinary skills while trying new recipes. Ladonna has published several books such as “My Tiny Alaska Oven” and “Salmon, Deserts & Friends.” Cookbooks are available online and at many local stores.

The Captain’s Lady at 28 Creek Street is one of Ketchikan’s favorite boutiques featuring over 30 Alaskan Artists. Their love of the ocean and community is reflected through their selection of gifts. Social distancing has become essential and public health officials agree that to avoid the spread of Coronavirus we must limit our contact with people and avoid large groups. The sun has been shining in Ketchikan lately making it a wonderful time to get and enjoy nature! Our neighbors at Knudson Cove Marina offer kayak, stand-up paddle board rentals and other watercraft. Let’s face it, many of us do care! That’s why the hair stylists at HBS Serendipity, a north-end hair salon, will create personally formulated take home kits for people who need a little extra help to get their hair through these next few weeks! Their salon is not open for services; however, it is open with limited hours for retail therapy.  Look for great deals on Bare Minerals, Paul Mitchell products and clothing items. They take orders over the phone and package them for curbside pickup. Pro-Tip: Buy Alaska Fishing License Online

Fishing licenses are available for purchase at the Alaska Department of Fish & Game website. Limit your exposure to people at the counter when you visit the ADF&G Online Store instead.
