World Class Alaska Fishing — Minutes Away in Calm Water!

One of the best King salmon drags in the Ketchikan vicinity is right off our beach, which peaks from late May through July. The best silver salmon fishing is only minutes away from the lodge and the pink salmon are everywhere. Halibut are also available nearby. All of your fishing at Chinook Shores Lodge can be done in the calm waters of Southeast Alaska’s inside passage.

Freshwater Fishing around our area is great in the spring and fall for trout and steelhead and in August for salmon, rainbows and cutthroat.  Self-guided fishermen can access these rivers and creeks by boat and along the Ketchikan road system.  We do not supply rods for freshwater spin or fly fishing, however if you bring your own the river will be waiting for you.

Fish Processing is included with our deluxe guided fishing charters, unguided or self-guided packages and bareboat rentals at no extra charge.  Our lodge has professional-grade vacuum packers and walk-in blast freezers. In the hands of our experienced fish filleters and seafood processors,  your catch will be transferred from fresh to frozen — ready for you to take home with you when you leave the lodge. The easiest way to get frozen seafood to your home is to check the fish box at the airline ticket counter when you check-in for your departing flight.
