Getting to Ketchikan, Alaska and Chinook Shores Lodge Fishing Resort Is Easy!
Aside from the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry from Prince Rupert Canada British Columbia or Bellingham, Washington, Alaska Airlines is the only way in and out of Ketchikan.

You may choose to book one of Alaska Airlines other arrival or departure flights; however we will not be able to accommodate you until Check-in at 2:00pm. Check-out is 11:00am, and we are unable to offer extended checkout times for we need time to clean beach houses and boats for other arriving guests. Ketchikan Alaska is just shy of a two hour flight from Seattle on Alaska Airlines (you’ll want to book well in advance for the best fares). We recommend that you rent a car in Ketchikan when you arrive at the airport (again, book in advance). If you do not wish to rent a vehicle we will arrange transportation from the airport to Chinook Shores.
Shuttle Service is available to and from the airport. The only cost of this service are the associated fees for transporting the van on the airport ferry. Shuttle service is not available for the the morning arrival flight # 65 into Ketchikan or the evening departure flight # 64 leaving Ketchikan. Shuttle service includes a stop at Safeway for you to shop for food and drinks during your stay. If you need additional items while you are here we can arrange for those to be picked up for you.
The airport is on Gravina Island, which is a 5-minute ferry ride across Tongass Narrows to Ketchikan. The Ketchikan Airport Ferry takes foot passengers, as well as vehicles, and departs every half hour. Once you’re on the Ketchikan side, head north on Tongass Highway approximately 12 miles, then turn left on N. Point Higgins Road. Take an immediate right on Knudson Cove Road. Go past Knudson Cover Marina and turn on to Potter Road. Follow Potter Road to the Chinook Shores sign.
